How to use it

  1. Enter the item price, and what the buyer paid for shipping if you charged for it.
  2. Turn on the boost toggle if the sale came from a boosted listing.
  3. Read what you keep after the processing fee and any boost fee.
  4. Switch the mode to find the list price that nets a target amount.

Worked example

A hoodie sells for $35.00 with the buyer paying $6.00 shipping, not boosted.

Order total is $41.00. Payment processing: $41.00 × 3.3% = $1.353, plus $0.45 = $1.80. You keep $39.20, which covers the $6 label and leaves $33.20 on the item.

If the listing had been boosted, add $35.00 × 12% = $4.20, and you’d keep $35.00.

How it's calculated

order total = item price + shipping paid by the buyer

payment processing = order total × 3.3% + $0.45

boost fee = item price × 12% (only if the listing was boosted)

you keep = order total − payment processing − boost fee

Depop removed its 10% selling fee for US sellers in 2024, so payment processing is the only fee on an ordinary sale. Boosts run before 23 March 2026 were charged at 8%.

FAQ

Is there really no Depop selling fee?

For US sellers, no. Depop dropped the 10% selling fee in July 2024. You still pay the 3.3% + $0.45 payment processing fee on every sale, and a 12% boost fee if the sale came from a boosted listing.

What is the boost fee charged on?

12% of the item's sale price, excluding tax. If you didn't use a Depop shipping label the boost fee is also applied to the shipping amount, which this calculator doesn't add, so your fee can be slightly higher in that case.

Does the processing fee apply to shipping?

Yes. The 3.3% + $0.45 is charged on the total the buyer pays, which includes shipping and any sales tax Depop collects. Free shipping with a higher item price gives the same processing fee as the same total split out.

What about UK or other sellers?

This calculator is for US sellers. Depop's fees differ by country; UK sellers, for example, have their own processing rates and a different boost structure. Check Depop's help centre for your region.
