About these calculators

Body numbers, explained plainly. BMI is a screening ratio, not a diagnosis, and the calculator says what its categories mean and where the ratio breaks down. The daily energy calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, the one most dietitians use, and shows the activity multiplier it applied so you can see how much of the total is your baseline and how much is movement.

These are estimates for healthy adults. They are not medical advice, and anyone managing a condition or a pregnancy should work from their clinician's numbers rather than these.
