Who we are
CalcRabbit ("we", "us") operates the website at calcrabbit.com. For anything in this policy, write to legal@calcrabbit.com.
What the calculators do with your numbers
The figures you type into a calculator are processed in your browser. They are not sent to our server unless you submit a form without JavaScript, in which case they travel in the page address, are used to render the answer, and are not stored. Share links contain the numbers you entered, so treat a link the way you'd treat the numbers themselves.
What we collect
Server logs
Like every website, our server records the address of each page requested, the time, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string and the referring page. We use these logs to keep the site running, to spot abuse, and to see which calculators are used. Logs are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted.
Contact form
If you use the contact form we store your name, email address, the topic you chose, your message, the page you came from, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string. We keep this to reply to you and to prevent abuse of the form, and we delete it once the conversation is finished, or after 12 months at most. We do not add you to any list.
Nothing else
We have no accounts, no newsletter and no comment system, and we do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
Cookies and advertising
CalcRabbit is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and to other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Google's own policy is at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Apart from the advertising cookies above, the site sets one cookie of its own: a security token on the contact page that protects the form against forged submissions. It contains no personal information and expires when you close the browser.
Third-party services
- Google AdSense serves the advertising described above, and receives your IP address and browser details in the course of doing so.
- Google Fonts supplies the site's typefaces. Your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which see your IP address and browser details. Google states that it does not use these requests for advertising or to build profiles.
We don't run analytics scripts, tracking pixels or social media embeds.
Your choices and rights
You can use every calculator without providing any personal information. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculators will keep working. If you've written to us, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing legal@calcrabbit.com. We'll answer within 30 days.
Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request its deletion. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it. Requests can be made to the same address.
Children
The site is written for adults managing money and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information through the contact form, tell us and we'll delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Contact messages are stored in a database on our server that only site staff can access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please don't send us passwords, card numbers or similar in a message.
Changes
If this policy changes we'll update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged on the home page for 30 days.
